A corroboree with a difference; to share culture and heal the spirit.
The Dupang Festival brings together local, interstate and international Indigenous artists for a three day camping festival of dance performances and workshops at the spectacular waterfront site on the Coorong on Ngarrindjeri land. This dance camping festival will provide a immersive cultural experience for everyone.
Tal-Kin-Jeri Director, Major ‘Moogy’ Sumner AM, says “the last Dupang Festival was healing. People came to experience and learn about our culture, to be involved together. The story telling, the dancing, the fires, workshops, talking circles. We camped, we sang, we danced and together we went on a journey, which connected us to the spirits of this land and waters on our country.
On behalf of the ancestors and people of this land – we are calling you to come together again.
** The Dupang Festival was the winner of the 2018 “BankSA Best Event Award.” of the Adelaide Fringe. **
